To get a good understanding of the situation, it’s important to know that Ronaldo has two main agents: Jorge Mendes and Simon de Quieroz. The former runs Ronaldo’s affairs for him, while the latter is a consultant for Mendes; they represent a large number of top players in the world, and are instrumental in the transfer market. The Ronaldo-Juventus situation has been a tense one: after four years at the Juventus, Ronaldo returned to United and signed a new £300,000-a-week, four-year deal in the summer of 2018.

It’s been five years since Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in a world record £80m move after nine seasons with the Red Devils. After everything he’d achieved, it was hard to believe that Ronaldo would leave but that’s exactly what happened. The Madrid outfit also offered him bonuses of £30m each year, which he couldn’t turn down.

The 20-year-old Fernandez was the surprise winner of the tournament in the final, beating American 22-year-old Naomi Osaka 6-4 6-0. This was Osaka’s third consecutive appearance at the US Open after she became the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam title.

As she lost the second set tie-break, Naomi Osaka slammed her racquet twice on the floor.

Naomi Osaka’s US Open championship defense has come to an end as she was knocked out in the third round by Canadian youngster Leylah Fernandez.

The 18-year-old Fernandez took advantage of Osaka’s loss of composure to win by a score of 5-7 7-6 (7-2) 6-4.

In the second set, Osaka was broken when serving for the match, and a bad tie-break gave Fernandez the advantage under the New York lights.

The adolescent couldn’t stop grinning as she claimed a great victory.

After being broken in the second set, Osaka never recovered her composure, tossing her racket to the floor twice as the tie-break raced away from her.

Fernandez broke her in the first game of the third set and powered her way to victory with her strong forehand.

In the fourth round, she will play Angelique Kerber, another Grand Slam winner.

“I felt I had a chance to win from the start,” Fernandez remarked.

“I wasn’t thinking about Naomi; I was thinking about what I needed to accomplish. The support from the audience was crucial in helping me win.”

As Osaka loses her cool, Fernandez maintains hers.

Naomi OsakaIn 2018 and 2020, Naomi Osaka won the US Open, defeating Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka, respectively.

After publicly discussing her sadness and taking an eight-week sabbatical to preserve her mental health, Osaka has had a tough few months.

She’s only played five matches in the last two months and was given a walkover into the third round of the New York Open when her opponent withdrew.

Despite Fernandez’s forehand and powerful serving, Osaka seemed to be in command for the duration of the first set and the bulk of the second.

At 6-5 in the match, Osaka lost her stride, giving Fernandez a vital break with a forehand long.

The two-time US Open winner soon lost the tie-break, pointing at herself and the court as the fans rallied behind her opponent.

Number 70 in the world As Osaka’s mistake down the line pushed the match to a decider, Fernandez was a total opposite, applauding her excellent shot play and punching the air.

Osaka spent the third set changeovers with a towel over her head, attempting to recover her calm, but her anger was apparent as she lost an early break and had to save two break chances to avoid falling down 3-0.

Despite showing flashes of her best form, she was unable to create a break point on Fernandez’s serve, which was aided by the crowd.

When Osaka had Fernandez wait when she was 30-0 up and serving for the match, the youngster was booed, but the Canadian replied with a drop shot winner to earn three match points. Turning and applauding as Osaka blasted a cross-court forehand wide, she only needed one.

Just hours after 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz stunned Stefanos Tsitsipas with a bold and controlled performance, another youngster wowed Arthur Ashe Stadium with a daring and composed performance.

When Osaka came up to serve for a straight-set win at 6-5, it seemed like the match would be close and high-quality. But the reigning champion’s forehand failed her at that moment, and her anger boiled out.

Osaka is short on matches after taking a sabbatical from the sport to focus on her mental health, but after dropping her service early in the final set, she began to look dangerous again.

However, it was too late. Fernandez’s lefty serve had been causing Osaka issues all night, and the Canadian took advantage of it, aided by some pounding returns.

Halep triumphs against ‘mad on the court’

Simona HalepThe French Open in 2018 and Wimbledon in 2019 were Simona Halep’s two Grand Slam victories.

Romania is ranked 12th. With a tenacious 7-6 (13-11) 4-6 6-3 victory over Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, Simona Halep recovered some of her pre-calf injury form.

Halep saved three set points in the first set tie-break and had to come back from a break down in each set while playing with her right leg tightly bandaged.

“I was very anxious before to the match, and I told [her coach] Darren Cahill that my forehand was broken. As a result, I’m no longer aware of it “Halep said.

“I felt feelings.” I was apprehensive. And I was a touch wild on the court, too, as the frustrations came to me.

“But I fought, and this win gives me a lot of hope that my game will return, and that my fighting spirit will return as well.”

After defeating Russia’s Daria Kasatkina 6-4 6-2, she will play fifth seed Elina Svitolina.

Garbine Muguruza advanced to the fourth round after defeating Victoria Azarenka in a duel of Grand Slam winners.

Both women have won Grand Slam championships and were formerly world number one, but Muguruza of Spain defeated Belarus’ Azarenka 6-4 3-6 6-2.

It’s the first time Muguruza has advanced to the fourth round at Flushing Meadows, where she’ll face French Open winner Barbora Krejcikova.

With a 6-4 6-2 victory against Kamilla Rakhimova of Russia, Roland Garros winner Krejcikova maintained her incredible season.

Elise Mertens of Belgium defeated Ons Jabeur of Tunisia in the Wimbledon quarterfinals 6-3 7-5 to set up a match with either second seed Aryna Sabalenka or local favorite Danielle Collins.

The US Open final between Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams was one of the most competitive in recent memory. Both players struggled with accuracy, but Osaka did also face the brunt of the umpire’s call, which was to take away her game point after she called for a backhand that was not given. Three weeks after the US Open, Osaka is attempting to defend her title in the WTA Championships, but she could be in for an uphill battle against 17-year-old Leylah Fernandez..
